Basketball Recap: Ada Beats Byng for Their Third Straight Win

With a playoff win on the line, Ada rose to the challenge on Thursday. They snuck past the Byng Pirates with a 67-63 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Cougars, who have now won three matches in a row.

Ada's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Owen Wofford, who went 7-for-8 on his way to 14 points and five rebounds. The dominant performance gave Wofford a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Miilan Riley, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and ten boards.

Ada was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. They are 11-4 when they've passed the ball that well.

Ada's win bumped their record up to 16-10. As for Byng, their loss dropped their record down to 10-13.

Ada wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 65-41 defeat against Douglass on the 1st. As for Byng, they will take on Bishop McGuinness at 7:30 p.m. on March 6th. Byng has given up an average of 58 points per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.
