Hendersonville gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the East Henderson Eagles. The Bearcats haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Hendersonville had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-21, 25-21, 25-16.

Averie Russell was nothing short of spectacular: she had 27 digs and three aces.

Looking ahead, Hendersonville will head out on the road to face off against T.C. Roberson at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. East Henderson will be paying especially close attention to the Bearcats' matchup: after the Bearcats face off against Asheville Christian Academy, they'll take on East Henderson again at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
