Soccer Game Preview: Valley Center vs. Imperial

The Valley Center Jaguars will be taking part in a tournament against the Imperial Tigers at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.

It was a proper cat-fight when Valley Center challenged Vista on Thursday. The Jaguars might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Panthers an easy 4-1 victory. Valley Center have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Meanwhile, Imperial kept a clean sheet against El Capitan on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Vaqueros with a sharp 3-0 win. That looming 3-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Imperial yet this season.

Valley Center's loss dropped their record down to 2-4-1. As for Imperial, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3-1 record this season.

Valley Center was able to grind out a solid victory over Imperial in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, winning 2-0. Will the Jaguars repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
