Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Blue Mountain). They came out on top against the Tamaqua Blue Raiders by a score of 71-64 on Tuesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Noah Mateyak and Cooper Ansbach certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Mateyak posted 23 points, while Ansbach put up 23 points. That was a full 35.9% of Tamaqua's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Brady Mccabe was another key player, putting up eight points.

Blue Mountain's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Tamaqua, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-13.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Blue Mountain will welcome Schuylkill Valley at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday. As for Tamaqua, they will be playing at home against Pine Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
