Basketball Recap: Lutheran South Academy Comes Up Short

Lutheran South Academy was the 53-41 winner over Emery/Weiner when they last played one another last Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Lutheran South Academy Pioneers took a 41-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of Emery/Weiner.

Maddox Larner was a one-man wrecking crew for Emery/Weiner as he dropped a double-double with 19 points and 11 boards. The dominant performance gave Larner a new career-high in rebounds. Another player making a difference was Harper Scheinman, who posted nine points and six boards.

Lutheran South Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season. As for Emery/Weiner, their victory bumped their record up to 9-15.

Lutheran South Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Emery/Weiner, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 79-37 defeat against The Woodlands Christian Academy on the 18th.
