Volleyball Game Preview: Englewood Pirates vs. William Smith Eagles + How To Watch

The Englewood Pirates will face off against the William Smith Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with eight consecutive losses for Englewood and 25 for William Smith dating back to last season.

On Saturday, Englewood came up short against Lake County and fell 3-1.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 14-25, 25-17, 25-12.

Despite the loss, Englewood got top-tier performance from Serenity Griego, who had 34 digs.

Meanwhile, William Smith lost 3-0 to Nederland last Friday.

While William Smith was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Nederland's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-11, 25-13.

Englewood's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for William Smith, their loss dropped their record down to 0-15.
