Recap: Oak Hill Rams vs. Anacoco Indians
On Tuesday, the Oak Hill Rams faced the Anacoco Indians in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Oak Hill took a 71-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of Anacoco. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Oak Hill in their matchups with Anacoco: they've now lost five in a row.
Oak Hill lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Krystina Greene, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. Alexis Dyer was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Oak Hill has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 22-13 record this season. As for Anacoco, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 28-4.
Oak Hill will be playing in front of their home fans against Hicks at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Anacoco, they will head out on the road to challenge Elizabeth at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing isn't great for Elizabeth: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Anacoco has snatched up four consecutive wins on the road.
