Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Janaeshia Washington and Jesenia Baez Lead Lorain to Victory

Lorain came into Tuesday's matchup having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They put the hurt on the Euclid Panthers with a sharp 3-0 victory on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Lorain took every set by at least 13 points. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-5, 25-9.

Leading Lorain to victory were Jesenia Baez and Janaeshia Washington. Baez had ten digs and three aces, while Washington had five aces and three digs. Those five aces gave Washington a new career-high.

They weren't the only good servers: Lorain was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 20 aces. They are 10-4 when they serve at least ten aces.

Lorain's win bumped their record up to 13-9. As for Euclid, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.

Coming up, Lorain will take on Findlay in a tournament on Thursday. Euclid does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
