Baseball Recap: Columbia Academy Takes a Loss

Columbia Academy lost against Presbyterian Christian last Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Columbia Academy Cougars fell just short of the Presbyterian Christian Bobcats by a score of 4-3.

Austin Baughman was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run. He also brought in an RBI, marking his first of the season.

Columbia Academy suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 3-2. As for Presbyterian Christian, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Columbia Academy will host West Marion at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The last four games Columbia Academy has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Presbyterian Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Purvis at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Presbyterian Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.
