Lufkin had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Texas Tigers 5-3. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-3 back in March.

Lufkin's win bumped their record up to 21-7. As for Texas, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.
