Bishop McGuinness came tearing into Thursday's game with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the South Stokes Sauras. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Villains also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

Bishop McGuinness wouldn't go down easily and took South Stokes into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-16, 18-25, 20-25, 15-12.

Bishop McGuinness was led to victory by Miah Sumanth and Natalie Ma. Sumanth had nine digs and four aces, while Ma had 23 digs. Sumanth also posted an assist, marking her first of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Bishop McGuinness was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 11 aces in four consecutive matchups.

Bishop McGuinness' victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for South Stokes, they moved to 4-4 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Coming up, Bishop McGuinness will square off against North Stokes at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Stokes, they will take on West Stokes at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
