Football Recap: Anakin Alexander Key Part of Team Effort in Cougars Win + How To Watch

There's no place like home for Sahuaro, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 21-14 victory over the Catalina Foothills Falcons on Friday. This was payback for the Cougars, who suffered an 18-7 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Sahuaro's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Anakin Alexander, who rushed for 54 yards and a pair of scores. Those 54 rushing yards gave Alexander a new career-high. Julian Perez helped out on the ground, rushing for 103 yards.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Sahuaro's defense and their six sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Jaxson Moore and Ethan Geoffroy, who racked up four sacks between them.

Sahuaro pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 26.0 points over those games. As for Catalina Foothills, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
