For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Hodgeman County and South Gray meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Saturday. The Longhorns took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rebels. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Rebels this season, with their most recent defeat being a 2-0 loss on Tuesday.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: South Gray scored at least 17 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-18.

Among those leading the charge was Jonalee Zweygardt, who had 15 assists. Zweygardt is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 12 every time she's taken the court this season.

Hodgeman County has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 20-14 record this season. As for South Gray, their victory was their 12th straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 27-2.

Hodgeman County has already played their next match (against Ingalls), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for South Gray, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Bucklin on the 11th.
