Basketball Recap: Central Comes Up Short

Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 72-45 loss at the hands of the Flushing Raiders. While losing is never fun, the Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 576th in Michigan, while the Raiders are ranked 231st in Michigan).

When it comes to explaining why Central lost, don't look at Terrill Campbell. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 13 points and 13 boards. Those 13 rebounds gave Campbell a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Steve Kushion, who posted nine points and seven boards.

Central's loss dropped their record down to 2-20. As for Flushing, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season.

Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Flushing, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, an 81-50 defeat against Carman-Ainsworth on the 26th.
