Recap: Kings Christian Crusaders vs. Alpaugh Buffalos
The Kings Christian Crusaders waltzed into Friday's matchup with five straight wins but they left with six. They breezed by Alpaugh at home to the tune of 85-32. Kings Christian might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won six contests by 26 points or more this season.
Kings Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Elyas Miro led the charge by scoring 21 points along with 6 steals. The matchup was Miro's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ronnie Roche, who scored 23 points along with 3 steals.
When it comes to explaining why Alpaugh lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jesse Alcazar. Despite the final result, he scored 10 points. Jesus Nunez was another key contributor, scoring 5 points along with 7 rebounds.
Kings Christian's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Alpaugh, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.
Kings Christian's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Wonderful College Prep Academy at 1:30 p.m. on December 2nd. Wonderful College Prep Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1087th, while Kings Christian is ranked 422nd). Alpaugh's road trip will continue as they head out to face Riverdale at 10:30 a.m. on December 2nd.
