Basketball Recap: Anna-Jonesboro Takes a Loss

Anna-Jonesboro lost against Harrisburg back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Anna-Jonesboro Wildcats took a 58-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Harrisburg Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 298th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 119th).

Anna-Jonesboro's loss dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Harrisburg, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 17-8 record.

Anna-Jonesboro will look to defend their home court on Friday against Benton at 7:30 p.m. Benton will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Anna-Jonesboro surely won't give up without a fight. As for Harrisburg, they will head out on the road to challenge Massac County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
