Baseball Recap: Cheyenne Comes Up Short

Cheyenne came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 20-1 to the Southeast Career Tech Roadrunners. The game marked the Desert Shields' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Cheyenne saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taven Thaker, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI. That triple marked the first that Thaker hit this season.

Cheyenne's defeat dropped their record down to 12-2. As for Southeast Career Tech, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-9 record this season.

While Cheyenne had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
