Softball Recap: The Colony Takes a Loss

The Colony managed to slip by Creekview the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Cougars lost 8-1 to the Mustangs on Tuesday. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Cougars couldn't push the score so high this time.

The Colony's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Creekview, they pushed their record up to 17-14 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Looking ahead, The Colony will welcome Lone Star at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. The Rangers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Cougars' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Creekview, they are taking a road trip to take on Newman Smith at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs are facing the Trojans at the right time seeing as the Trojans are stuck on a 21-game losing streak.
