Soccer Recap: Walton Find Success

Walton's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Escambia Gators. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 6-4 back in December of 2024.

Walton hit Escambia with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Luis Anaya, Israel Ramirez, and Brayden Sampson.

Walton now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Escambia, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-12-2 record this season.

Walton will venture away from home to take on Pine Forest at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Pine Forest will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Walton surely won't give up without a fight. As for Escambia, they will be playing at home against Destin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Destin is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.8 goals per game this season.
