Volleyball Recap: Mountain Grove Comes Up Short

Mountain Grove managed to slip by Strafford the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Panthers lost 3-0 to the Indians on Thursday. The Panthers just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Leading Strafford to victory were Brooklynne Lumley and Lydia Goodin. Lumley had three digs and three aces, while Goodin had six digs and three assists. Those three assists gave Goodin a new career-high.

Mountain Grove's loss dropped their record down to 2-5-1. As for Strafford, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-1-2 record this season.

Mountain Grove has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against West Plains on the 20th. As for Strafford, they will head out on the road to take on Skyline at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
