Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fairmont). They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the West Bladen Knights 76-16. The win was nothing new for the Golden Tornadoes as they're now sitting on 12 straight.
Leading Fairmont to victory were Lyric McNair and Aaliyah Duran. McNair went 12-for-17 en route to 24 points and eight rebounds, while Duran dropped a triple-double with 11 points, ten assists, and 11 steals. Duran has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 14 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Taniya Simms, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 16 boards.
Fairmont smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive boards in eight consecutive matchups.
Despite the loss, West Bladen still got an impressive performance from Kali Allen, who posted seven points and five rebounds.
