Volleyball Recap: Madison's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Madison had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Mansfield Legacy Broncos. That's more bragging rights for the Mavericks, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Deylen Mendivil paced Madison's offense, picking up 17 kills. Mendivil got some help from Cyani Ingram and her 18 assists. Finally, Eva Hernandez kept Madison's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Madison's win bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Mansfield Legacy, they now also have a losing record of 8-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Madison will take on Floresville at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mansfield Legacy, they will square off against Burleson at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
