North is on a seven-game streak of home wins, while South is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The North Stars and the South Spartans will meet in a classic North v. South matchup at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in North's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight games.

North is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They strolled past Santa Ynez with points to spare, taking the game 61-43. Given the Stars' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 178th, while the Pirates are ranked 437th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, South had just enough and edged out Kingsburg 44-41 on Wednesday.

North is on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 19 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.1 points over those games. South's victory bumped their record up to 19-10.
