Basketball Game Preview: Union Area Scotties vs. Shenango Wildcats

The Union Area Scotties will head out to square off against the Shenango Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Union Area is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Neshannock just ended the team's four-game winning streak last Tuesday. They took a 63-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lancers.

Meanwhile, Shenango didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Laurel on Friday, but they still walked away with a 50-46 win.

Shenango is also on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.2 points per game. As for Union Area, their defeat ended a ten-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 11-4.

Union Area beat Shenango 69-57 in their previous matchup on January 3rd. The rematch might be a little tougher for Union Area since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
