Basketball Recap: James Wilson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead South Kingstown over Barrington

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact South Kingstown can now relate to. They fell to the Barrington Eagles 72-67. The Rebels were up 23-7 in the first quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

Several Rebels players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was James Wilson, who posted 19 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. The match was Wilson's eighth in a row with at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Griffin Sward, who earned 18 points and six boards.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Barrington to victory, but perhaps none more so than Caleb Satisfield, who scored 28 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Colin McDermott, who put up 22 points.

This is the second loss in a row for South Kingstown and nudges their season record down to 18-6. As for Barrington, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season.

South Kingstown does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Barrington, they will challenge Central at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Central's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
