Recap: Temple Christian Tigers vs. Calvary Christian Spartans
The Temple Christian Tigers waltzed into their game on Tuesday with three straight wins but they left with four. They walked away with a 58-51 win over Calvary Christian. This was payback for Temple Christian, who suffered a 55-41 loss the last time these two teams met.
Calvary Christian lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Philip Davie, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds. Luke Gaertner was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with two steals.
Temple Christian's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.3 points per game. As for Calvary Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 9-5.
Temple Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Calvary Christian will head out on the road to square off against Mars Hill Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Mars Hill Academy is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
