Basketball Game Preview: Everglades City Gators vs. Community School of Naples Seahawks

The Everglades City Gators are taking a road trip to face off against the Community School of Naples Seahawks at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Everglades City's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five contests.

Everglades City is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering East Lee County just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell to the Jaguars 62-57.

Meanwhile, Community School of Naples ended up a good deal behind Bishop Verot on Monday and lost 60-46. The defeat continues a trend for the Seahawks in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now lost three in a row.

Community School of Naples' loss ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 7-8. As for Everglades City, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.

Everglades City was dealt a bruising 92-48 loss at the hands of Community School of Naples in their previous meeting back in January of 2016. Thankfully for Everglades City, Zach Friedman (who went 12 for 14 on his way to 28 points and three steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
