Softball Game Preview: Valley Indians vs. Eastern Eagles

The Valley Indians will venture away from home to face off against the Eastern Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Valley 4.1, Eastern 3.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Eastern will be up against a hot Valley squad: the team just extended their winning streak to five. The Indians never let South Gallia get on the board and left with an 11-0 win on Wednesday. The Indians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by six runs or more this season.

Clay hit Eastern with a four-run seventh inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Eagles fell 6-3 to the Panthers. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kenleigh Bapst made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Valley's victory bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Eastern, their loss dropped their record down to 17-5.

Valley couldn't quite finish off Eastern in their previous meeting back in April and fell 4-2. Can the Indians avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
