After a string of 11 wins, West Delaware's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Aplington-Parkersburg Falcons. The Hawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

West Delaware's loss dropped their record down to 11-2. As for Aplington-Parkersburg, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-2.

West Delaware wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Roland-Story on the 13th. As for Aplington-Parkersburg, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Denver on the 13th.
