Marie Philip extended their winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Xavier DeLeon. The Marie Philip Galloping Ghosts walked away with a 63-53 victory over Varsity Opponent on Monday thanks in part to DeLeon, who dropped a triple-double on 28 points, 20 boards, and ten assists. That makes it five consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Marie Philip's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Riebe, who went 7 of 15 on his way to 16 points and three steals. Those 16 points gave him a new career-high.

Marie Philip's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0.

Marie Philip will square off against Waring at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Marie Philip is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57 points per game this season. As for Varsity Opponent, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 38-24 loss against Family Christian Center on the 9th.
