Basketball Recap: Treynor Picks Up Tenth Consecutive Victory

Treynor entered their tilt with Tri-Center on Friday with nine consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with ten. They took down the Tri-Center Trojans 56-41. Given the Cardinals' advantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 27th, while the Trojans are ranked 102nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Treynor's win was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-3. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 27.1 points. As for Tri-Center, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-6 record this season.

Treynor didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 75-50 victory against St. Albert on the 8th. As for Tri-Center, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Shenandoah at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
