Football Recap: MacArthur Comes Up Short

MacArthur made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Jacksonville, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Generals fell just short of the Crimsons by a score of 36-33 on Friday. That makes it the first time this season the Generals have let down their home crowd.

Easton Ackerman continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Jacksonville, rushing for 235 yards and three TDs. Those 235 rushing yards gave Ackerman a new career-high. Braden Hutchinson was another key player, rushing for 42 yards and a pair of scores.

MacArthur's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Jacksonville, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

MacArthur wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 49-7 defeat against Quincy Notre Dame on the 24th. As for Jacksonville, they have also already played their next game, a 77-0 win against Lincoln on the 24th.
