Baseball Recap: Forrest County Agricultural Aggies vs. Stone Tomcats
Forrest County Agricultural was the 5-4 winner over Stone when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The Forrest County Agricultural Aggies fell just short of the Stone Tomcats by a score of 7-6 on Friday. The Aggies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Parks Brock and Landyn Anderson did some serious damage despite the final result: Brock scored a run while going 2-for-3, while Anderson went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. What's more, Brock posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyrique Britton, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Forrest County Agricultural's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Stone, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-6.
Coming up, Forrest County Agricultural will take on Poplarville at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Stone, they will be playing at home against West Harrison at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. West Harrison is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.9 runs per game this season.
