Baseball Recap: Sheridan Hills Christian Has No Trouble Against Sports Leadership & Management

After only two runs in their last contest, Sheridan Hills Christian made sure to put some runs up on the board against Sports Leadership & Management on Friday. Sheridan Hills Christian was the clear victor by a 21-3 margin over Sports Leadership & Management. The result was nothing new for the Sharks, who have now won three games by 15 runs or more so far this season.

Noah Johns made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the first time he hasn't allowed a single hit since back in March of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those four hits gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Alonzo Castro was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. He is becoming a predictor of Sheridan Hills Christian's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 0-5 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Shiloh Yap, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3.

Sheridan Hills Christian lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Sheridan Hills Christian's record now sits at 3-5. As for Sports Leadership & Management, their defeat was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sheridan Hills Christian will welcome Berean Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sports Leadership & Management, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Inlet Grove at 6:30 p.m. on the 31st. Sports Leadership & Management is facing Inlet Grove at the right time seeing as Inlet Grove is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
