Basketball Game Preview: Parkdale Panthers vs. Bowie Bulldogs

The Parkdale Panthers will head out to square off against the Bowie Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Parkdale easily dispatched High Point on Thursday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Parkdale fell just short of Eleanor Roosevelt by a score of 47-45 on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Raiders: they've now lost four in a row.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Zenai Ferebee, who went 7-for-12 en route to 17 points and seven boards. The matchup was her fifth in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannah Youn, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 15 rebounds.

Meanwhile, Bowie entered their tilt with Bladensburg on Monday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Mustangs, posting a 74-8 win. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 27 points or more this season.

Parkdale's defeat dropped their record down to 13-3. As for Bowie, their victory bumped their record up to 10-7.

Parkdale came out on top in a nail-biter against Bowie in their previous matchup last Monday, sneaking past 44-41. The rematch might be a little tougher for Parkdale since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
