Volleyball Recap: Nokomis Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Nokomis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Edward Little Red Eddies. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the 3-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-12, 25-14.

Rayonna White paced Nokomis' offense, picking up three kills. White got some help from Maddie Ervin and her five assists. White was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Edward Little found their leader in sophomore Hayleigh Merrill, who had ten aces. Those ten aces set a new season-high mark for Merrill.

Nokomis' defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Edward Little, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-2.

Nokomis wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Messalonskee on the 8th. As for Edward Little, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Mt. Ararat on the 8th.
