Basketball Recap: Drue Anzai Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Segerstrom

Garden Grove won the last time they faced Segerstrom and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Garden Grove Argonauts came out on top against the Segerstrom Jaguars by a score of 57-46. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Argonauts.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Garden Grove to victory, but perhaps none more so than Drue Anzai, who posted 20 points and five steals. The dominant performance gave Anzai a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Juarez, who had 14 points in addition to five boards and three steals.

Garden Grove's victory bumped their record up to 13-10. As for Segerstrom, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season.

Garden Grove has already played their next contest, a 64-53 loss against Kennedy on the 17th. As for Segerstrom, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 67-64 defeat against Ocean View on the 17th.
