Volleyball Recap: Samantha Kinning and Mattilyn Trimble Secure Win for Pender

Pender's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They blew past the Homer Knights 3-0. The Pendragons were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Knights, so the Pendragons were just returning the favor.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-19, 25-13.

Pender was led to victory by Mattilyn Trimble and Samantha Kinning. Trimble had 16 digs and two aces, while Kinning had five digs and two aces. That's the most aces Kinning has posted over her last two matches.

Pender's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-10. As for Homer, with the loss, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 14-8.

Pender has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Lyons-Decatur Northeast on the 16th. As for Homer, they will head out to face off against Winnebago at 5:00 p.m. on the 23rd.
