Football Recap: Mansfield Senior Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Mansfield Senior extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to seven on Friday, dropping them down to 0-2. They were beaten by the Columbian Tornadoes 45-12. If the Tygers were looking for revenge after losing 40-27 to the Tornadoes when the teams met back in September of 2021, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Ryan Au threw for 71 yards and one TD. Plessie Wentworth was his top target, picking up 50 receiving yards and one score.

As for Columbian, the victory got them back to even at 1-1. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their seven-point performance the contest before.

Izayah Swain was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 128 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 8.0 yards per carry.

Mansfield Senior will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on West Holmes at 7:00 p.m. on September 12. As for Columbian, they will head out on the road to square off against Buckeye at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
