Baseball Game Preview: Red Bay Tigers vs. Sulligent Blue Devils

The Red Bay Tigers will take on the Sulligent Blue Devils at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Red Bay has four straight victories, Sulligent has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Red Bay's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They blew past Colbert Heights 8-0. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by seven runs or more this season.

Carson McGee was incredible, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Thorne, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.

Red Bay hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in three consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for Sulligent's offense. They came up short against Gordo on Saturday, falling 14-0.

Sulligent's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Red Bay, their win bumped their record up to 16-5.

Everything went Red Bay's way against Sulligent in their previous meeting back in March of 2025, as Red Bay made off with a 9-3 victory. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Blue Devils turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
