Loveland is 9-1 against Anderson since December of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Loveland Tigers will face off against the Anderson Raptors at 6:30 p.m. Anderson took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Loveland, who comes in off a win.

Loveland played in conference for the first time on Thursday and they got just the result they we're looking for. They rang in the new year with a 50-37 victory over Turpin. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 248th, while the Spartans are ranked 634th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Anderson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 48-42 heartbreaker at the hands of Mercy McAuley.

Despite the loss, Anderson saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ella Dreier went 8 for 15 on her way to 21 points and six rebounds. That was a full 50% of Anderson's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points.

Anderson's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Loveland, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-5.

Loveland didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Anderson in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, but they still walked away with a 38-33 victory. Does Loveland have another victory up their sleeve, or will Anderson turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
