Basketball Recap: Butler County Extends Winning Streak to Four

Butler County entered their tilt with Edmonson County on Thursday with three consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with four. They put the hurt on the Edmonson County Wildcats with a sharp 88-68 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 94-63 back in January.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Butler County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ty Price, who posted 31 points and eight assists. The contest was Price's fourth in a row with at least 20 points. Justin Castlen was another key player, going 7-for-13 en route to 20 points in addition to eight rebounds and five steals.

Butler County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in three consecutive matches.

Butler County pushed their record up to 15-12 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.4 points over those games. As for Edmonson County, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-8.
