Baseball Recap: Groveton Takes a Loss

After flying high against Pittsburg on Monday, Groveton came back down to earth. The Eagles lost 7-1 to the Gorham Huskies on Wednesday. The Eagles have struggled against the Huskies recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

Marcus Pellitier made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

Groveton's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Gorham, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Huskies beat Groveton by a score of 7-1 later that day.
