Football Game Preview: McCook Central/Montrose Fighting Cougars vs. Deuel Cardinals

The McCook Central/Montrose Fighting Cougars will challenge the Deuel Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. McCook Central/Montrose will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last.

Two weeks ago, McCook Central/Montrose made easy work of Baltic and carried off a 39-14 victory. Considering the Fighting Cougars have won three contests by more than 24 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

A big part of McCook Central/Montrose's win came down to the chemistry between Andrew Sabers and his top target Ben Wiebersick. Sabers rushed for eight yards and a pair of TDs while Wiebersick gained 77 total yards.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Deuel faced off against Mobridge-Pollock on Friday. The Cardinals snuck past the Tigers with a 40-36 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cardinals.

Deuel's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for McCook Central/Montrose, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.
