Baseball Game Preview: Vilonia Eagles vs. Paragould Rams

The Vilonia Eagles will square off against the Paragould Rams at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Vilonia hasn't scored more than two runs for four games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

Vilonia fell victim to Benton and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 6-0 to the Panthers.

Meanwhile, Paragould got themselves on the board against Nettleton on Tuesday, but Nettleton never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Raiders. That's two games straight that the Rams have won by exactly ten runs.

Paragould has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-11 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Vilonia, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-12.

Vilonia got the 'W' when the teams last played back in March of 2025 against Paragould by a conclusive 11-2 score. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rams turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
