Volleyball Recap: Lodi Comes Up Short

Lodi saw some tournament action on Friday. They fell just short of the Auburndale Eagles by a score of 2-1.

Darla Ripp paced Lodi's offense, picking up six kills. Ripp got some help from Ella Best and her 14 assists. Brielle Burros and Aly Kutz kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Auburndale was led to victory by Kiley Anderson and Lanie Richardson. Anderson had 14 digs and one assist, while Richardson had four digs and two aces. Those two aces gave Richardson a new career-high.

Lodi's defeat dropped their record down to 2-3.

Lodi has already played their next game (against Riverdale), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Auburndale, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Rhinelander on the 29th.
