Football Game Preview: Hagerman Pirates vs. Glenns Ferry Pilots + How To Watch

The Hagerman Pirates will take on the Glenns Ferry Pilots at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Hagerman's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last three matchups.

Hagerman is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Idaho's top teams: Murtaugh, who was ranked 20th at the time (Hagerman was ranked fifth). The Pirates really took it to the Red Devils for the full four quarters, racking up a 46-0 victory. Considering the Pirates have won four games by more than 29 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Casen Knight produced another solid performance rushing for 234 yards and four TDs on only 15 carries. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 102.5 rushing yards per game. Cameron Clausse made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

Hagerman's run defense was locked in: Murtaugh could only muster 2.6 yards per carry. While two picked up at least ten total tackles, Knight stood above the rest. He rushed for 234 yards and four touchdowns on only 15 carries. Hagerman's run defense has been on the up-and-up: they allowed 2.77 yards per carry earlier this season, but they've only allowed 10.53 on average over their last five games.

Hagerman didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off six passes before the game was over. Clausse and Zander Cenarussa were the leaders of the group effort as each produced two apiece. Clausse got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Glenns Ferry ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They managed a 26-20 win over Valley. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
