Basketball Recap: Arlington Christian vs. Hills Academy Knights

Arlington Christian entered their tilt with the Hills Academy Knights with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. Arlington Christian blew past the Knights 84-58. Arlington Christian has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 22 points or more this season.

Rico Williams was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. It was the first time this season that he scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Davon Aikens, who scored 20 points along with two steals.

Despite the loss, Hills Academy saw an underclassman step up: Siar Francis scored 19 points along with six rebounds and six steals. Francis also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Adrian Campbell was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with two steals.

Arlington Christian's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-6. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.8 points per game. As for Hills Academy, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-6.

Arlington Christian won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Crusaders at 6:00 p.m. on February 3rd. New Creation Christian Academy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 432 points over their last six contests. As for Hills Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
