Volleyball Recap: Plymouth Big Red vs. South Central Trojans
Plymouth was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the South Central Trojans, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.
The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-17, 25-10.
Rylie Edwards paced Plymouth's offense, picking up four kills. Edwards were helped by Mya Stine and Maliyah Leroux, who contributed five assists each.
South Central was led to victory by Bry Lopez and Keragin Gray. Lopez had 12 digs and two assists, while Gray had 32 assists and four digs. Gray has been hot for a while, having posted 14 or more assists the last 26 times she's played.
Plymouth's loss dropped their record down to 3-19. As for South Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-12 record this season.
Plymouth wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Old Fort on the 15th. As for South Central, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Seneca East on the 16th.
