Baseball Recap: Horizon Comes Up Short

Horizon came into this matchup off a tough nine-run loss last Wednesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Niwot Cougars by a score of 4-2 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Hawks have suffered since March 21, 2024.

Horizon saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Parker Aaron, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Aaron also scored a run, marking his first of the season.

This is the second loss in a row for Horizon and nudges their season record down to 1-5. As for Niwot, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Horizon wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 12-4 loss against Legacy on the 10th. As for Niwot, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 4-1 defeat against Centaurus on the 10th.
